LANCASTER, Pa. – A Lancaster City man, already under house on drug charges, is busted again. On Saturday June 4, at about 1:30 p.m. officers assigned to the Lancaster Police Bureau’s Selective Enforcement Unit (SEU), assisted by officers assigned to a Street Operations Group (SOG) detail, served a narcotics related search warrant at 403 E. King Street.

During the months of April and May SEU officers made numerous purchases of a controlled substance from the residents of 403 E. King Street. Two suspects, Bryan Acevedo, 25 and Luz Gonzales, 29, were taken into custody. Officers learned Acevedo was on electronic monitoring (house arrest) for two prior deliveries of crack cocaine.

During the execution of the search warrant officers located 4 oz. of Promethazine with Codeine syrup, a Schedule V controlled substance. The approximate street value of the mixture is $700.00. Codeine, an opiate, is the main ingredient in a dangerous and increasingly popular mixed drink taken by high school aged children and young adults. Officers also found a digital scale and packaging material consistent with drug sales and seized $3,690.00 in cash.

Acevedo was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gonzalez was charged with the same offenses.
