Dauphin County man charged with assaulting toddlers

STEELTON, Pa.– A Steelton man is facing charges, after police say he assaulted three young children.

Kenton Alston, 32, is accused of assaulting the children, ages 3, 2, and 1. Alston was taken into custody on Saturday, after police conducted an investigation into child abuse at a home on the 700-block of North 3rd Street in Steelton.

Officers say the toddlers suffered severe injures from the assaults. Alston is charged with two felony counts of Aggravated Assault on a child less than 6 years of age. He is also charged with three misdemeanor counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children and a summary offense of Harassment.

Alston is behind bars at Dauphin County Prison, on $20,000.00 bail.

Police have not released the types of injuries the children suffered or their conditions.
