Dead body found at Penn Waste Recycling Center in York

MANCHESTER TWP, York, Pa- The York County Coroner confirmed Saturday afternoon that an adult male body was found at a recycling facility in York.

Officials say the body was discovered by employees sorting recyclables on a conveyor belt just before Noon at Penn Waste Recycling Center along the 3600 block of Mia Brae Drive in York County.

Officials say they are working to identify the male, determine where the body came from and find out when the body  arrived at the facility.

The recycling facility accepts recyclable from southeastern Pennsylvania waste haulers and commercial businesses.

An autopsy is scheduled for early next week. Northern York County Regional Police are investigating.
