LANCASTER, Pa. – Lancaster City Police responded Tuesday to a report of a fight involving weapons. It happened on the 400 block of East Strawberry St. This was the 34th firearms-related arrest for 2016.

When police Sergeant  Andrew Nauman arrived on the scene found and  later identified as Artiba Dominque Harrison, 24, a resident of the 500 block Pershing Avenue.  Harrison matched the description of one of the persons involved in the fight.

During a pat-down, Sergeant Nauman found a Browning BDM 9mm semi automatic handgun with a magazine containing six rounds of ammunition in Harrison’s right front pocket. Harrison does not have a valid concealed weapons permit.   A check of the serial number on the firearm revealed it had been reported stolen to the East Fallowfield Township Police Department in 2007. in addition it was discovered  Harrison has a prior felony conviction for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon in Mecklenburg County from 2012

Harrison was also found to be in possession of six clear plastic bags containing suspected crack cocaine, four clear plastic bags containing suspected synthetic marijuana, and numerous empty clear plastic bags.

Charges against Harrison include Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License, Persons Not to Possess Firearms, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession With Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
