Police seek ‘person of interest’ in cell phone theft

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. –  Tracie Ford of Shippensburg, reported to police that on June 14th at about 2:57 p.m. she was shopping at the Sav-A-Lot store at 1025 Wayne Avenue where she laid her phone down at one of the hand sanitizing stations.  She forgot to pick up the phone and continued shopping.

Just after 3 o’clock, a white female in her 40s, wearing a rose colored shirt picked up the cell phone and placed it in her purse.  The unknown white female left the store and the cell phone has not been returned.   The white female had a small toddler with her at that time.

PHONE2dsc_0025Police released several surveillance photos of a woman who may have information relevant to their ongoing investigation.  The woman is a person of interest, but not necessarily a suspect at this time.
