YORK COUNTY, Pa. – Dwayne E. Pope, 43, of Dillsburg, already on probation after pleading guilty in March to two counts of Corruption of a Minor, is arrested again on a Possession of Child Pornography charge.
The latest charge resulted from an unannounced visit to Pope’s Dillsburg home on May 5th by his probation officer. The probation officer accompanied by another probation officer searched Pope’s computer and found hundreds of images of Pope posing with minors. Pope said that the pictures were taken during the time when he was a ghost story teller in Gettysburg. They also searched Pope’s Netflix account and found multiple pornographic video’s in his search history.
According to court papers a search of Pope’s bedroom uncovered two pair of children’s underwear under his pillow which he claimed he ‘wipes up’ with after he masturbates. He also admitted the underwear belonged to his 13 year old daughter. The officers then placed Pope under arrest.
Following arraignment, Pope was sent to York County Prison on $50,000 bail and on his parole violation.
