FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND:
The weekend is looking fabulous for dads! High pressure brings abundant sunshine, warmer and more comfortable weather. Highs start out in the lower 80s for Saturday but jump to the mid and upper 80s by Sunday. There is so much to do outdoors and this is the weekend to take advantage of. The high slides east into the Atlantic setting up a return flow out of the southwest. The shift in the wind will pull in more heat and humidity heading into early next week.
SUMMER ARRIVES:
The official beginning of summer arrives at 6:34PM on Monday.
The heat and humidity increase return to make it feel more like summer. Highs flirt with 90 degrees too. Tuesday, a cold front drops in and triggers a few afternoon thunderstorms. Highs are still warm in the upper 80s. Drier and somewhat cooler air will move in for Wednesday and Thursday as an upper-level trough settles in over the northeast. It doesn’t hang around long before a strong ridge of high-pressure returns bringing much warmer and more humid conditions by Friday.
