YORK, Pa.-- Today is National Flip Flop Day, and your local Tropical Smoothie location wants you to come out and celebrate.
The holiday, which was launched ten years ago, is a day where you can wear flip flops and get a free Jetty Punch (strawberry-banana) smoothie between 2 and 7 p.m. However, it's more than just a day to give away free smoothies.
Tropical Smoothie also collects donations for Camp Sunshine, to send children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to a week-long camp in Maine. Over the past nine years, Tropical Smoothie has donated over $3.7 million to the camp and hit over $1 million in donations last year.
