Manhunt in uptown Harrisburg for escapee Jabree Chambers

Jabree Chambers

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Heavily armed Harrisburg Police, with K-9 units and a PSP helicopter scoured an area of Uptown Harrisburg late Tuesday afternoon for escapee Jabree Chambers.

Police spotted the 22 year old Chambers at about 5:11 p.m driving a gold colored Cadillac in the area of North 6th and Oxford Streets. Officers were aware that Chambers had outstanding warrant for escape.

They attempted a traffic stop in which Chambers did stop but then he jumped out of the car and ran away. A Pennsylvania State Police helicopter was in the area and were made aware of the foot pursuit and assisted in trying to locate Chambers.

image1Chambers was last seen in the area of Schuylkill Street and Atlas Alley.  He is described as a light skinned black male and was wearing a red shirt and white shorts.  He is now facing Flight to Avoid Apprehension and another Escape charge.
