UPDATE: Shots fired during home invasion in York

FAIRVIEW, TWP, York County, Pa- Police are currently investigating a home invasion where shots were fired at the Meadowbrook Trailer Park early Thursday morning.

Officials say just after 12:30 a.m.,2 suspects broke into a home along the 200 block of Meadowbrook Court in Fairview Township,York County. The homeowners were home and sleeping at the time police said.

Police say the suspects physically assaulted the wife and the husband was pistol whipped by a handgun.

The husband did put up a struggle with one of the suspects, when three shots were fired.

The suspects then took off in an unknown vehicle on Stauffnertown Road.

Police did find blood at the scene and believe that one of the suspects was shot during the incident.

The husband and wife both sustained head injuries, but they did not require medical treatment.

Police say the two male suspects had masks on and the victims were able to determine that one of the suspects was a dark-skinned black male and  the other appeared to be either Hispanic or a light-skinned black male.
