Dennis E. Mowday, 61, recently pleaded guilty in Lancaster County Court to five felonies regarding abuse of a 17-year-old girl in 2014 and 2015. Mowday filmed some of the sexual abuse.
In exchange for the guilty plea, Mowday was sentenced to the following:
– 4 ½ to 15 years in prison
– Followed by 5 years of probation
– Registration under Megan’s Law for the rest of his life
– Additional sex offender conditions which include counseling/treatment and limitations on use of electronic devices (computers, etc.)
Police became aware of the recent crimes after Mowday’s employer found evidence among Mowday’s belongings that he was abusing a girl. The employer contacted police.
Mowday, who recently lived in the first block of Beaver Valley Pike, was convicted in 1995 of sex abuse of a child.
