LOWER PAXTON TWP., Dauphin County, Pa. — State Police say the fatal motorcycle crash in I-81 early Monday morning was caused by a loose blanket. It happened around 2:14am Monday near mile marker 69.7. Ronald Crissey, 55, of Jonestown, was riding north on when a blanket strapped to his motorcycle became tangled in the rear wheel. The cycle skidded out of Crissey’s control and came to rest in the right lane if the highway. Witnesses say Crissey was lying unresponsive in the right lane and several tractor trailers may have run over him.

Crissey was not wearing a helmet. State Police say no trucks stopped on I-81.
