DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.–Pennsylvania State Police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash along Interstate 83 in Dauphin County on Thursday.
It happened around 12:11 p.m. near mile marker 43.2.
Police responded after getting reports of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-83. The vehicle, a blue or purple Toyota Camry with a sun roof, crashed into a northbound tractor-trailer. The crash caused minor damage to the Toyota’s driver side bumper and headlight.
Investigators say after hitting the tractor-trailer, the driver of the Toyota backed up, turned around and exited the interstate at Exit 44A (13th Street). The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt and was able to snap a photo of the Toyota.
