Harrisburg, PA– Today, Governor Wolf signed HB 60, sponsored by Rep. Matt Baker, which requires that insurance companies provide the same coverage for oral chemotherapy that they would provide for intravenous or injectable chemotherapy medications.
“Today, I am pleased to sign HB 60 into law,” said Governor Tom Wolf. “No individual should ever have to forgo the medicine they need because of treatment costs. This bill will ensure that Pennsylvanians receive the medication they need at a fair cost. ”
HB 60 creates more parity between the out-of-pocket costs associated with more traditional forms of chemotherapy drugs and the newer, oral formularies. The bill passed out of the House on a vote of 197-3 and was passed unanimously out of the Senate.
Governor Wolf also signed the following bills into law:
Act 74- HB 64, sponsored by Rep. Adolph provides for suicide prevention continuing education.
Act 75- HB 898, sponsored by Rep. Boyle amends Title 75 (Vehicles), in prelim. provisions, further defining “emergency vehicle”; further providing for drivers; for visual & audible signals on emergency & authorized vehicles; providing for removal of dead deer.
Act 76 – HB 1062, sponsored by Rep. Killion, amends the Public Welfare Code, in public assistance, further providing for persons eligible for medical assistance, for payments, for institutional care; for provider submissions; for time periods, for eHealth Partnership Program.
Act 77- HB 1335, sponsored by Rep. Lawrence, amends Title 75 (Vehicles), in powers of department and local authorities, further providing for emergency telephones along Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Act 7A – HB 2175 sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes an appropriation from a restricted revenue account within the General Fund to the Office of Small Business Advocate in the Department of Community & Economic Development.
Act 8A – HB 2176, sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes an appropriation from the State Employees’ Retirement Fund to provide for expenses of the State Employees’ Retirement Board for the fiscal year July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
Act 9A – HB 2177, sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes an appropriation from a restricted revenue account within the General Fund to the Office of Consumer Advocate in the Office of Attorney General.
Act 10A – HB 2178, sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes appropriations from the restricted revenue accounts within the State Gaming Fund & from the State Gaming Fund to PGCB, the Dept. of Revenue, PSP, & the Attorney General.
Act 11A – HB 2179, sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes appropriations from the Workmen’s Compensation Administration Fund to DLI & DCED to provide for the expenses of the Workers’ Compensation Act, The PA Occupational Disease Act & Office of Small Business Advocate.
Act 12A – HB 2180, sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes appropriations from the Philadelphia Taxicab and Limousine Regulatory Fund and the Philadelphia Taxicab Medallion Fund to the Philadelphia Parking Authority for fiscal year July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017.
Act 13A – HB 2182, sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes an appropriation from the Public School Employees’ Retirement Fund to provide for the expenses of the Public School Employees’ Retirement Board for the fiscal year July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
Act 14A- HB 2183, sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes appropriations from the Professional Licensure Augmentation Account and from restricted revenue accounts within the General Fund to DOS for use by the BPOA in support of board licensure boards assigned thereto.
Act 15A – HB 2184 , sponsored by Rep. Markosek, makes appropriations from a restrict revenue account within the General Fund & from Federal augmentation funds to the PA Public Utility Commission for the fiscal year July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.

Act 80 – SB 1123, sponsored by Sen. Vogel, amends Title 3 (Agriculture), in weights and measures, further providing for standards for automotive fuel.
Act 81 – SB 1194, sponsored by Sen. Mensch, amends the State Military College Legislative Appointment Initiative Program Act repealing provisions relating to expiration.
Act 82 – SB 1216, sponsored by Sen. Stefano, act designating the bridge on State Route 3087 connecting Scottdale, Westmoreland County, Everson, Fayette County as the Private First Class Joseph Anthony Petrarca/Staff Sergeant John Williams Earnesty Memorial Bridge.
Act 83 – SB 1217, sponsored by Sen. Stefano, act designating a portion of State Route 523 in Somerset County as the Private First Class Nils G. Thompson Memorial Highway.
