DILLSBURG, Pa. –  Police in York County are investigating a dead body that was discovered inside a shed early Tuesday afternoon.  Carroll Township Police were called shortly after 12:30 p.m. to the rear of of a residence in the 200 block of South Second Street in Dillsburg Borough for a report of a person sleeping inside a shed.

When officers arrived they found a deceased male inside. The body appeared to have been there for an extended period of time. The York County Coroner was called to the scene.

The death is under investigation by Carroll Township Police and the York County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning at Lehigh Hospital to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

The name of  the deceased is not being released pending notification of the next of kin.
