Coxsackie viral infections are an annual summer malady

YORK, Pa.-- It can be difficult to avoid annual maladies that can affect many.

One of these annual annoyances can be the Coxsackie virus, which is known to cause the more famous hand, foot and mouth disease. This virus comes around every summer, and is a common cause of a fever in those under the age of five.
