Partial nationwide Comcast outage causing problems for businesses and police

A technical issue has caused a nationwide  outage,  leaving businesses unable to make and receive phone calls.

According to the website, Central Pennsylvania appears to be hit especially hard by this outage.

People have taken to Twitter to complain about the problems the disruption in service has caused.

The outage began around 2:30PM.

Northern York County Regional Police have reported the police station is unable to receive or make phone calls.

If you require any police service please use the York County Emergency Operations Center by dialing 911.

According to Twitter, Comcast is aware of the issue, and working to restore service as soon as possible.
