Phone service interrupted in northern York County

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – There is a telephone outage in the area served by Northern York County Regional Police. The police station is unable to receive or make phone calls.

If you require any police service please use the York County Emergency Operations Center by dialing 911.

The outage is part of a wider nationwide outage of the Comcast phone system. The system went down early Tuesday afternoon. The company is trouble shooting the problem, but so far has no explanation for the outage.

Service is anticipated to be restored later this evening.
