Businesses, locations able to report themselves as inappropriate sites to play Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go is a craze that is sweeping the nation.

However, over the past few days, reports of cemeteries and police stations around the country have surfaced asking people to not play Pokémon Go at their location.

Now, these businesses and locations have the power to have themselves labeled as an inappropriate location for playing Pokémon Go.

A joint statement from Niantic and the Pokemon Company explains:

PokéStops and Gyms in Pokémon GO are found at publicly accessible places such as historical markers, public art installations, museums and monuments.  If you want to report inappropriate locations or content, please submit a ticket on the Pokémon GO Support website at
