FOX43 Exclusive: Hersheypark declares July 19th “Paul McCartney Day”

HERSHEY, Pa.– Everybody dance, tonight!

On Tuesday, July 19th, Sir Paul McCartney will bring his “One On One Tour” to Hersheypark Stadium!

In honor of the former Beatle performing in Hershey for the very first time, July 19th will be declared “Paul McCartney Day” in the sweetest place on earth.

Hersheypark will celebrate by renaming four rides in his honor:

  • Great Bear will be renamed “Blackbird”
  • Storm Runner will be renamed “Band on the Runner”
  • Bizzy Bees will be renamed “Let it Bizzy Be”
  • Laff Trakk will be renamed “Maybe I’m Amazed”

Those visiting Hersheypark on the 19th will also hear his biggest hits played in the park.

In addition, Park Boulevard in Derry Township will be changed to “Paul McCartney Avenue,” for the day.

FOX43 is also celebrating his arrival to Central Pennsylvania!

The FOX43 Morning Team will be live from Hersheypark Stadium all morning long on Tuesday.

We’ll be taking a look back at his incredible career and testing our knowledge on his iconic music.  You may even learn some things about Paul that you never knew before!
