Police identify victim from Saturday morning homicide in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa- Police were called to the 1200 block of Hunter Street around 3:20 a.m. Saturday, for reports of shots fired with a man down.

When police and emergency medical services arrived, they found a man on the sidewalk, unresponsive and bleeding from gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as 27-year old Frank W. Whitlock.

Numerous vehicles and homes in the area were damaged by gunfire, police said.

Anyone with information on the homicide is asked to call County Dispatch at 717-558-6900 and ask to speak with a Detective.

Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest in this incident.
