LEBANON, Pa. - At the young age of 13, Cristina Astacio, has already been battling Leukemia, but when she is older she wants to fight fires! To make her dream come true members of the City of Lebanon Fire Department made her an honorary member for the day. They showed up at her house in a fire truck.

"I thought something was wrong cause my mom didn’t say anything," said Cristina.

Her mom knew what was going on. The department gave her a helmet, jacket and a plaque.

"I couldn’t close my mouth. I was so excited," she said.

"I think it’s great.  I would want something like this if my kids were battling it or fighting something like she is going through," said Mike Daub, firefighter.

"I just find being a firefighter is pretty cool cause you get to go into houses and save people and I’m like a thoughtful  person. I don’t like seeing anybody hurt," she said.

She road to the firehouse in a fire truck and when she got there, a party was all set-up! She, her family and the crew were celebrating that Make-A-Wish granted her wish to go to Disney World and Orlando.

Plus, the Mayor of the City of Lebanon declared July 16,2016 Cristina Astacio Day!
