Two men injured in accidental shooting in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. – Two men are injured in an accidental shooting in Franklin County.  It happened at about 2 p.m Tuesday afternoon.

According to Pennsylvania State Police two men were chopping wood in a wooded area along Loop Road.  As they were finishing up,  one man went to download his pistol when the gun accidentally went off striking the one man in his hand and the other in his back.

Both men went to Chambersburg hospital with non life threatening injuries.

State Police say the incident remains under investigation.
