SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- The Cumberland County couple who police say took part in a multi-county string of burglaries over the last eight months returned to court Wednesday.
Robby Zoller and Angela Micklo, formerly of Penn Township, were arrested on July 19 at a storage facility in Hampden Township. Police discovered more than $170,000 worth of stolen property.
Both had preliminary hearing's scheduled for Wednesday in Silver Spring Township. Zoller continued his hearing until August 19 at 10 a.m. Micklo waived her hearing altogether.
Zoller, 47, and Micklo, 48, are connected to 27-year-old Joshua Long, who lived with the couple at their Penn Township trailer on Pine Road. Authorities had been searching for the couple in an unrelated case after a human brain was found in a Walmart bag under their former residence in Penn Township.
Long, who was arrested in June for his involvement in a series of burglaries, was charged with abuse of a corpse after he admitted to his aunt that he and Zoller used formaldehyde liquid from a stolen brain to soak marijuana before smoking it.
Zoller and Micklo have not been charged with any crimes in connection to the stolen brain.
Both were silent as they entered the magistrates office Wednesday.
Police recovered $170,000 in property that was reported stolen from a business in Upper Allen Township on Sunday, July 17.
The business was located along the 200 block of Cumberland Parkway. Police found a large portion of the stolen property in a rented warehouse at a storage site located along the 5200 block of Simpson Ferry Road in Hampden Township, where Zoller and Micklo were arrested.
Investigators also recovered numerous items which were reported stolen from other jurisdictions at different times during the spring of 2016.
Police say many of the electrical components were being sold under the business name "Bar Breakers."
The pair had arrest warrants out of Silver Spring Township Police Department on burglary and theft charges. The couple is accused of being part of a burglary ring that targeted eight businesses in Cumberland and Perry counties between November and March.
Zoller has been placed in Perry County Prison. Micklo is in Cumberland County Prison. Both have bails set at $200,000.
