Isolated afternoon thunderstorms are likely Friday. An isolated strong to severe storm is possible.

Temperatures in the lower to middle 90s on Friday make it a perfect pool day! Watch for afternoon thunderstorms.

VERY HOT & HUMID WEEKEND: The strong ridge of high pressure takes full control for the weekend. This means plenty of summer heat and humidity. Friday temperatures are well into the 90s with a mixture of clouds andsevere sunshine. There’s the chance for afternoon isolated thunderstorms. Saturday remains very hot and humid. Highs are in the lower to middle 90s. Only a stray thunderstorm is possible. Temperatures are back into the middle 90s on Sunday, and we’re watching for a few hit or miss thunderstorms.

The heat lasts through early next week.

NEXT WEEK: On Monday, the next cold front moves through, and this brings the chance for widespread afternoon showers and thunderstorms. It’s still hot and humid, with afternoon temperatures reaching the 90s before storms form. The front is gone by Tuesday, so sunny conditions return. It’s not as hot, with temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

NO HEAT RELIEF: There is no break from the heat and humidity through the middle of the week. Sunshine remains for Wednesday, with temperatures hovering near 90 degrees. Another chance for showers and thunderstorms comes on Thursday. Highs are still near 90 degrees.

Have a great weekend!
