Palmyra Borough Police Department charged 37-year-old Aaron Cass, of Reading, Friday, July 22 with burglary, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension, escape, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, unlawful restrain, false identification to law enforcement and criminal mischief.

Police report that Cass was in the 200 block of E. Oak St. on July 2, when Cass was arrested. The charges stem from his actions following an attempt to evade police.

Based on a suspicious car tip, police approached the driver, who was Cass. It’s alleged that Cass knowingly provided them with false identity information. He had an active felony arrest warrant, police report, which they said is why he attempted to misinform them of his identity.

Cass then resisted arrest, fled from the car, and broke into an occupied house. Police were able to arrest him the morning of July 2, and charged him today. When police arrested Cass, they said he possessed methamphetamine and marijuana. He is currently in state prison.
