PENBROOK, Pa.–A Dauphin County man was arrested Wednesday after police say he assaulted a 7-Eleven clerk when his credit card was declined at the store.

Samuel Walker, 32, of Penbrook, is charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and retail theft.

The incident happened at the 7-Eleven located along the 2800 block of Walnut Street around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say Walker entered the convenience store and assaulted the clerk after his credit card was declined. He left and returned approximately 20 minutes later. Investigators say Walker got into an argument with the clerk and stole several items.

Walker was arrested when he returned to the store for the third time around 2 p.m.

He was taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 12.
