Police: Lewistown woman driving wrong way in fatal head on crash

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – A Mechanicsburg man is dead following an early morning head on crash in Silver Spring Township.  The collision involving a Dodge Dakota pickup and a Saturn ION, happened just before 1 a.m.  on Route 114 between Technology Drive and Old Willow Mill Road.

Township police say Brenda Aumiller, of Lewistown in the  Dodge, was driving the wrong way when she crash into the Saturn driven by Roberto Cheodetti and passenger, Rodney Morton, both from Mechanicsburg.

Aumiller suffered a wrist injury, Cheodetti did not suffer any injuries but, Morton, suffered major head trauma. He died en-route to the hospital.

The roadway was closed for more four hours following the crash.  Silver Spring Township Police are being assisted in the investigation of the crash by the Cumberland County Investigations Unit, The Pennsylvania State Police Crash Reconstruction Team and the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office.
