LANCASTER, Pa. – Lancaster City Police seek help from the public in identifying a bank robbery suspect. At about 2:33 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to Wells Fargo Bank at 926 Manor Street for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.
The male suspect entered the bank, wrote down a note demanding cash and showed it to a teller. The suspect wound up taking cash from a Wells Fargo customer who making a deposit. The suspect produced a plastic bag and took the loot in that bag. No weapon was seen or displayed.
The robber fled on foot, on Hershey Avenue towards the Greek Orthodox Church at 64 Hershey Avenue. Once in the the parking lot of the church the suspect got into a silver colored car. The car was driven by an unknown female. The car went south through the parking lot and west towards Charles Road.
The male suspect seen in bank surveillance photos is a white male in his 30s to40’s, about 6 feet tall, with a husky build. He wore denim shorts and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt had the letters S.W.I. in the back and Versatex on the front. He also wore a dark colored ball cap.
