Body found in alley behind elementary school in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa- Harrisburg police responded to the alley  just behind the former Steele Elementary School Thursday morning for reports of a body that was found.

According to Dauphin County 911, the body was found just after 7:00 a.m. along the 2500 block of N. 5th Street in Harrisburg.

Harrisburg police are investigating. The Coroner has identified the man through fingerprints, but they are not releasing the information yet pending family notification.

Officials say they believe the man died sometime overnight.  An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
