Cross Dresser bank robber arrested

YORK TOWNSHIP, York County, Pa- The career of a cross dressing bank robbery suspect comes to an abrupt end in York County after police catch him in the act.

According to court documents, just after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, a black male, dressed as a women, wearing a long dress and brown wig entered the Americhoice Federal Credit Union along the 1st block of Indian Rock Dam Road, in an attempt to rob the bank.

The bank had a second set of interior doors which were locked, which prevented the suspect from getting into the lobby. He quickly left the building but police were able to catch him about 100 yards from the bank along South George Street.

Eric Stacey Reaves, 46, of York, is  now charged with three counts of robbery for incidents in York Township. According to court documents, police believe that Reaves is the same man who robbed Northwest Bank in October and York Traditions on July 16th.

Springettsbury Township Police have also charged Reaves in connection with a fourth bank robbery on July 27.

On July 27, York County 911 said a man dressed as a woman, complete with a wig, dress and purse, robbed the M & T Bank in the 1000 block of Haines Road, inside the Haines Acres Shopping Center, around 9:45 a.m.

Reaves is currently in York County Prison in lieu of $750,000 bail.
