Harrisburg man invades home, tackles and robs elderly resident

HARRISBURG, Pa. – An elderly Harrisburg man is injured during a home invasion and robbery last weekend.  Police responded at about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 8th, to a home on the 2200 block of North 3rd Street.

The 73-year-old victim, told police that he had heard a window break to the front of his home.  When he went to investigate a man, later identified as 22-year-old Trelonnie Elliott ran towards him tackling him to the floor then taking a computer tablet from his hands. After Elliott acquired the tablet he fled the residence. The victim suffered multiple lacerations to his head, right arm and right leg during the struggle.

A short while later police responded to a fight call at a local bar.  Elliot was part of the fight and refused to answer questions about how he suffered an injury to his right arm.  He ran away from  the officers and got into a vehicle which was eventually stopped at North 2nd and Locust Streets.

Elliot was positively identified by the victim just 15 minutes from the time of the alleged burglary.  After Elliot was taken to hospital for medical treatment he was charged with Burglary, Robbery and Criminal Mischief.
