Body found on gravel path near I-83 in southern York County a homicide

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – A body found this morning on a gravel path adjacent to Interstate 83 southbound near Route 216 is a homicide.  The body was discovered by a passerby who called police.

Pennsylvania State Police investigators say the victim was a black male, who died from an apparent gunshot wounds. Investigators say evidence indicates that the victim was shot at another location and then dump onto the gravel path.

The identify of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy is scheduled at Lehigh Hospital to determine the cause and manner of death.
