MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – A lightning strike is being blamed for a power outage in  Middletown this afternoon.

Borough officials say power lines are on the ground in the area of Susquehanna Street. Repair crews are on the scene. There is no estimate of when power will be restored.

The Dauphin County Borough with a population of 8,880, owns and operates it own electric distribution system.
