JACKSON TWP, York, Pa-Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 4 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of South Lake Road, Jackson Township.
The York County Coroner identified the victim as 22-year-old, John Randolph Smith, of Spring Grove.
Officials say, Smith lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a pole, causing the car to roll over. Smith was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene the York County coroner said.
A passenger in the car was taken to the hospital for treatment.
At this time the extent of the passenger’s injuries are unknown.
No autopsy will be done on Smith.
