Police identify two suspects in homicide of man found near I-83

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police have arrested two suspects in the shooting death of a York City man.  The body of 36 year old Shannon Martin was discovered in a remote  area off of Interstate 83 in Springfield Township last week. Martin had been shot several times.

Investigators learned that Luis Quinones, 28, of Brooklyn, New York, got into a scuffle with Martin at the York City home of 27 year old Kevin Brightful. Police say that Quinones was visiting at Brightful’s home at the time.  During the scuffle between Quinones and Brightful, gunfire erupted and Martin was shot several times.

Brightful and Quinones then loaded Martin’s body into a vehicle.  They drove to the remote location in Springfield Township, dumped the body along a grave/dirt and left the area. Martin’s body was later discovered by a passerby at about 4 a.m. on August 12th.

Brightful and Quinones are in police custody and have been charged with Homicide, Abuse of Corpse, Tampering with  Evidence and Carrying a Firearm without a License.
