HARRISBURG, Pa. -The Medical Marijuana Program in Pennsylvania is moving forward. John Collins has been named the Director of Medical Marijuana and the Department of Health says due to the Safe Harbor Act 53 kids in Pennsylvania have been able to legally get medical marijuana from other states. Other Pennsylvanians, who need medical marijuana, will have to wait until the program is enacted in early 2018, still progress is being made.
"I`m also pleased to announce that the temporary regulations for growers and processors are drafted. These temporary regulations provide details regarding the information and financial requirements for a grower/ processor application," said Dr. Karen Murphy, Pa Department of Health.
The Department will continue to have news conferences to be sure people are made aware of what is going on with the program.
