Harrisburg police investigate shots fired incident that left one man dead

HARRISBURG, Pa.– Police in Harrisburg continue to investigate a Saturday night shooting that left one man dead.

Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the area of Hummel and Swatara Streets for reports of shots being fired. When they arrived on the scene, they found a 45-year-old Hispanic man lying on the ground unresponsive.

The victim was transported to the hospital, but was pronounced dead prior to arrival, police said.

Police have not released the identity of the man and do not have any suspects.

Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2000 for information leading to an arrest in this incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at (717) 558-6900.
