HERSHEY, Pa-  Officials at Hersheypark have confirmed that a roller coaster at the amusement park is stuck for the second time in one week.

The Sidewinder roller coaster experienced a stoppage today at 3:30pm. The Park Team walked 27 riders safely off the train. The guest exiting process took approximately 35 minutes.

Park officials are still determining why Sidewinder didn’t finish it’s ride cycle, the coaster did function as it is intended to do in instances of an incomplete ride by settling at a point that allowed guests to safely exit the ride.

The ride is now closed and will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

Another roller coaster Fahrenheit became stuck on August 19th. In that instance all riders safely exited.
