WEST CORNWALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. –A 21-year-old woman who left a Lebanon County mental health facility with an armed man earlier this month has been released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in South Carolina.

Alicia Buzzard plead guilty to shoplifting charges in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Buzzard and Elliott Ravert, 18, of Narvon, were arrested on Aug. 12 for shoplifting at a Walmart, according to police reports.

Buzzard was released from the detention facility Friday and placed in a safe house. Police say she called her family and told them she will not return to Lebanon County.

Ravert is also facing charges in Lebanon County after he ordered two nurses at gunpoint to let him into locked ward at Philhaven on Aug. 9. Buzzard was a patient at Philhaven and left the facility with Ravert.

Philhaven  has since discharged Buzzard and police say no charges have been filed against her in Lebanon County.

Ravert remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
