Neighbor alerts man to house fire in East Lampeter Township

EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A man and his dog were able to escape a fire in Lancaster County after his neighbor knocked on his door to alert him.

It happened in the 2200 block of Aberly Lane in East Lampeter Township around 9:42 a.m.

Fire officials believe it started in a garage and quickly spread to the house.

Neighboring homes were also damaged by the fire.

No one was hurt.

A fire marshal is looking into what caused the fire.
