LANCASTER, Pa.-- FOX43 morning anchor Amy Lutz threw out the first pitch before the Lancaster Barnstormers game. Before taking the mound the throw, the anticipation was building for Lutz.

"I'm really nervous. I just don't want to throw it into the ground," she said.

Without anytime to warm up or practice, Lutz stood up straight on the mound, eyeing the prize. She would wind up and deliver, and get the ball across the plate and to the catcher.

"Not as good as I was hoping, but at least it made it to the catcher," Lutz said. "That's half the battle."

Amy was excited about helping to promote a new show coming to the FOX43 lineup. The new series called "Pitch" follows the fictional story of Ginny Baker, the first female pitcher in Major League Baseball.

"It's awesome. The trailer looks incredible," Lutz said.

After the ballgame, fans were treated to seeing the pilot episode on the left field scoreboard in Clipper Magazine Stadium. The show premieres on Thursday, September 22nd at 9 p.m. on FOX43.
