SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – A student at Shippensburg Senior High School is charged with intentionally setting a fire in a school restroom.
The fire was discovered just before school dismissal on Thursday. The school was evacuated immediately due to a smoke condition caused by the fire. School officials suspected immediately that the fire was deliberated set and asked the State Police Fire Marshal and Borough Police to investigate.
As a result of that investigation a 16 year old student at the school admitted today to setting the fire. The student was charged with Arson and released to officers of the Franklin County Probation Department.
