WARM WEATHER: The sunny skies continue on Sunday, as highs top out in the low 90s. Highs in the 90s continue on Monday. After 88 on Tuesday, we get back to 90 on Wednesday, the last day of the month. This August will go down as our hottest on record.
TRACKING THUNDERSTORMS: We stand to see just a handful of thunderstorms Sunday night as a weak piece of energy arrives. This chunk of energy will take its time crossing PA, so it will spark a few thunderstorms on Monday afternoon. Otherwise, we’ll have partly sunny skies on Monday. We’ve got sunny skies and dry weather on Tuesday. Then, we’ll get scattered showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon.
LESS HUMID: While we’ll stay humid through Wednesday, we get a break beginning Thursday. Wednesday’s storms come with a cold front, which gets rid of the humid weather. It also takes away the 90s. We’ll grab highs in the low 80s on Thursday, and highs near 80 on Friday.
NEXT WEEKEND: We’ll start the holiday weekend with low humidity and finish it humid. The humidity starts sneaking back up Sunday afternoon. Then, we’ve got a humid Monday. Enjoy very sunny skies and dry weather on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, we’ll have partly sunny skies.
THE TROPICS: We’ll keep an eye on the tropics for you. A few days ago, the models were biting on a hurricane or tropical storm making landfall in one of the Southern states at the end of the upcoming week. Over the past few days, most of the models have backed off that. If a hurricane or tropical storm does make landfall, any remnants will not impact your Labor Day plans. They’d arrive the Tuesday or Wednesday after. We’ll keep you updated if anything materializes.
