DILLSBURG, Pa.-- The local organization, Beauty After Bruises presented its inaugural "Party In the Park" event in Dillsburg, York County on Saturday.

The event brought a number of vendors out, as well as a yard sale and flea market for small businesses. There were also plenty of activities for children as well.

The main goal of the event is to bring awareness to people who are dealing with Complex PTSD. It's a response to repetitive trauma that typically happens in childhood.

"Most survivors find themselves in a position where therapy can be very, very expensive and they need to find a way to pay for it; we're helping bridge that gap for them. The suicide rate, unfortunately of the adult survivors is very high. We want to be here and bring as much attention to this cause as possible," says Tracy Varano-Garrison, Co-President of Beauty After Bruises.
