WEST MAHANOY TWP., Schuylkill County, Pa.– State Police are searching for a man they say should be considered dangerous.

34-year old Christopher Benjamin, formerly of West Mahanoy Township, is wanted on a Felony Warrant for Aggravated Assault. Benjamin is accused of repeatedly beating a woman over a two-day period in a wooded area along Raven Run Road.

Troopers say on Sunday, a 31-year old woman was able to flag down people to help her on the first block of Raven Run Road. They say over the course of Saturday and Sunday, Benjamin kept the female victim in a wooded area, beating her again and again and threatening to kill her if she left the area she was left in with a four-year old child.

She was able to make her way to the road for help. She was taken to the hospital and is said to have serious injuries. Information on the child was not provided by State Police.

At this point, Christopher Benjamin is on the loose. If you encounter him, you are urged to use caution and call State Police- Frackville at (570) 874-5300. Troopers are working to release a photo of Benjamin as soon as possible.
