LANCASTER, Pa. - Lancaster City is preparing for Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate Tim Kaine's visit to the Red Rose City. Kain will campaign at the Boys & Girls club on the 200 block West Lemon Street. The event is scheduled to take place at 6:00 p.m. and doors will open at 4:00 p.m. for those attending.

City police are expecting heavier than normal vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area of W. Lemon Street, N. Prince Street, N. Water Street, N. Mulberry Street, W. Walnut Street, N. Queen Street, W. James Street, and W. Chestnut Street.

There will not be any on-site parking at the club. The location is mainly residential, so on-street parking will be limited. There are multiple parking garages within walking distance of the event.

The Lancaster City Bureau of Police does not anticipate any street closures, other than when the motorcade is moving to and from the event.

If you are leaving work or traveling in or around the North West area of the city Tuesday, during the event you will want to allow for additional travel time.
