YORK, Pa. – A York City juvenile is behind bars charged with Attempted Homicide.  Charges filed by York City Police against 15 year old Alezea Merguiades Pagan were the result of an investigation into an incident at about 8:20 p.m. on August 21st, at a home in the 800 block of Fahs Street.

According to the criminal complaint, Dijon Dickson asked responding officers if they were there for the shooting. Dickson said that he lived at the address. He said that when he returned home from work the night he noticed a bullet hole in the wall that came from the home next door.  He then found a bullet in an ashtray which he turned over to his next door neighbor Lashanda Rankings.

Investigators then proceeded next door to speak with Rankings. After inviting police officers inside she pointed out a hole in the wall of her home that matched up with the exit hole in Dickson’s next door residence. During the course of the investigation, police learned a witness that Pagan was at the house with his girlfriend. The witness along with Pagan and the girlfriend went to a nearby field and fired a gun that Pagan had in his possession.  After they returned to the residence, Pagan got into an argument with his girlfriend and she told him he had to leave. Pagan, according to court papers, forced open the door of the residence, pointed the gun at the girlfriend and fired a shot missing her by about six inches. Pagan then fled.

In addition to the Attempted Homicide charge, Pagan is also charged with Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Discharge of a Firearm into an Occupied Structures, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Possession of a Firearm by a Minor.
