Police seek to identify suspect in indecent assault of juvenile

YORK COUNTY, Pa. – York Area Regional Police are investigating an indecent assault that occurred in Jacobus Borough in July.

Investigators are seeking help from the public in identifying a male suspect. They released a photo.  The suspect made contact with a female juvenile via the Internet and arranged to meet at the female’s residence for sex.

The suspect arrived at the female’s residence and was attempting to engage in sexual activity when he was disrupted by a juvenile male friend of the female.  The suspect left the residence abruptly.

Information on the identity of the suspect can be anonymously and confidently sent to York County Crime Stoppers or by calling (717) 741-1259 or 911.

The York Area Police Department encourages parents to be aware of the websites, chat rooms, and texting that their children are involved in so that sexual predators and criminals do not prey upon their children or families.
