An  unidentified white man has stolen copper wire from area stores more than once without being caught, according to police.

Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help finding him. The suspect stole from stores in both Cumberland and Franklin counties.

Police said he selected multiple rolls of copper wire from the shelf at Lowe’s home improvement store in Carlisle Borough on July 13, and then again he did the same thing on July 22 at a Lowe’s in Shippenburg Borough. He stole $1,300 worth of copper at both places.

On the same day of July 22, he stole a television from Walmart in Shippensburg Borough, too, police said.

The same white man has also stolen copper wire from a Lowe’s in Chambersburg Borough on an unknown date. If anyone has any information regarding the incidents or can identify the subject, call Pennsylvania State Police Carlisle at 717-254-4701.
